Tamil Film Festival in Norway – 2010

Tamil Cinema has progressed considerably in the last two decades and competing with World Cinema on quality of production and content. 

Tamil cinema today is a benchmark for several other film industries in India.

To celebrate the progress of Tamil Cinema and to give an opportunity to see the latest films in theatres, we are happy to organize a festival under the name “Tamil Film Festival 2010” in Norway. 

This will be an annual feature subject to the response of the Tamil people of Norway for this festival.

We are planning to screen the following highly acclaimed Tamil films during the Festival between 6th February to 9th February 2010 at Filmenshus Kino , Oslo, Norway.

The date-wise screening will be as follows:

6th February 2010

10 a.m. – Rasu Madhuravan’s “Mayandi Kudumbathar”
13 p.m. – SP. Jananathan’s “Peranmai”
16 p.m. – Mishkin’s “Anjathey”
19 p.m. – Cheran's Pokkisham 
21.40 p.m. – Sasi’s “Poo”

7th February 2010

11 a.m. – Stephen's “Meendum” (Norway)
13 p.m. 
 SP.Jhananathan's "Ee"
16 p.m. – S.Lenin’s “1999” (Canada)

8th February 2010

13 p.m. – Sasikumar’s “Subramaniapuram”
16 p.m. – Ameer's "Yogi"
19 p.m. – Sasikumar Produced “Pasanga”
21.40 p.m. – Samuthirakani’s “Nadodigal” Starring Sasikumar

9th February 2010

16 p.m. – Mishkin’s “Nandalala” 

During the festival, we will have the presence of eminent Directors from Tamil Nadu, who will be present during the screening of their film and will also be participating in an interactive session with the audience on their films.

The following Directors have confirmed their participation:

  1. Director SP. Jananathan 
  2. Director Sasikumar
  3. Director Mishkin
  4. Director Samuthirakani

On 09th February 2010 at 8.00p.m. we will be hosting a felicitation function to all the Directors who attend the festival at the venue ….

During the screening, we will be doing a simple survey to find out the ratings of the films and based on the “People Choice Survey”, the following awards will be given to the films screened during the festival.

  2. The Most Appreciated / Acclaimed Film
  3. The Film that touched the Hearts of everyone
